Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for Procedural Law's Workshop: Oxford Hanbook on Women and International Law

This event investigates the wide-ranging impacts of international law on women and vice versa. Indeed, international law affects women in myriad ways, including the efforts to combat #genderdiscrimination and to promote them as actors in the field. It also examines and promotes a diversity of critical feminist approaches to the topic. If countries can allow trade-restrictive measures that aim to protect these non-economic interests, is it possible to negotiate a specific exception to justify measures that are aimed at protecting women’s economic interests as well?
