The module is devoted to the contemporary economic position of the European Union as both integrated entity and community of independent countries. Different aspects of EU common policy in various economic areas are analyzed. Principal attention is paid to the implications of the global economic/financial crisis of 2008-2010  for the EU.
 
Key objective: outlining main regularities of the modern economic policy’ realization  in the European Union
 
Aims: research of EU economic integration in historical context, the determination of advantages and disadvantages of EU countries development, analysis of current situation in the EU from the point of post-crisis development of European economy, structural analysis of basic vectors of EU economic policy
