Relationship between selected non-trade issues and trade
The course "Relationship Between Selected Non-Trade Issues and Trade", offered by the Faculty of International Economics at Foreign Trade University (FTU), provides students with a comprehensive understanding of how international trade interacts with key non-trade concerns such as poverty, inequality, gender, environment, and development.
Through a combination of theoretical frameworks and case studies, the course examines the multidimensional impacts of trade on these issues, particularly in the context of developing countries. Students are encouraged to critically analyze these relationships, identify challenges, and propose solutions using real-world data and examples.
The course is structured into 15 sessions, covering topics such as:
• Development theory and measurement
• Trade dynamics in developing economies
• Trade’s influence on poverty, inequality, gender development, and environmental sustainability
Learning outcomes focus on knowledge acquisition, analytical skills, teamwork, and adaptability.
