WTO Public Forum 2017 participation and dissemination of information to wider Turkish public

WTO Chair Holder for Turkey attended the WTO Public Forum 2017 and also undertook research in the WTO library on the basis of the discussions followed during the Forum. The Chair holder had the opportunity to listen to other Chair holders presenting their research at the Public Forum. The Chair Holder gathered information and improved her knowledge on recent developments in world trade by attending different sessions taking place within the framework of the Forum. The unique opportunity to attend the Public Forum, even if only as audience, enabled the Chair holder to inform different stakeholders in Turkey about the WTO and the issues related to global trade agenda. The Chair Holder was invited to speak at a seminar organized by the Turkish Economic Development Foundation where she gave a talk to the seminar participants on the theme of the WTO Public Forum 2017 and the results that can stem from the Forum, in the context of automation and e-commerce in particular (More information about the seminar: https://www.ikv.org.tr/ikv.asp?id=2000)
