Rama Rao Bokka

Prof.Rama Rao Bokka holds a Master`s degree in Commerce, PhD in Transport Management and Fellow of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. Currently he is with the University of Rwanda as an Emeritus Professor of Management. Rama had over 40years of teaching and research expereince. He has books published in the field of transport, commerce and management. He was instrumental in creating undergraduate programmes in Accounting, Business Administration and Information Technology Applications in Management at the former National University of Rwanda. He has also managed the MSc ICT Policy and Regulation long distance learning programme; was associated with the development of the DACUM based curriculm for two undergraduate programmes in transport, logistics and supply chain management under the Priority Skills for Growth initiative of World Bank with the Rwandan Ministry of Education. In addition to this, he has served as Head of the Department, Vice-Dean, Director of Postgraduate Studies and Dean of Business Schools and Team Leader of UR-Sweden/Economics and Management Sub-Programme. Prof. Rama is a specialist in commerce, transport, logistics, and corporate governance. He has successfully co-supervised three PhDs in India, and Sweden and currently he is the main supervisor for three PhD students in Rwanda. He chaired the committee that developed a Management PhD programme with course work and successfully organized three international conferences in transport area in India and five in Rwanda. Throughout his career he has presented and participated in several national, regional and international conferences.
