WTO Chair Holder for Turkey attended the WTO Public Forum 2017 and also undertook research in the WTO library on the basis of the discussions followed during the Forum. The Chair holder had the opportunity to listen to other Chair holders presenting their research at the Public Forum. The Chair Holder gathered information and improved her knowledge on recent developments in world trade by attending different sessions taking place within the framework of the Forum.
The members of the WCP Team undertook a research theme that is in close connection to the recent WTO research, in particular the 2018 World Trade Report that was dedicated to transformative impact of digital technologies on labour and trade. To that end, the WCP Team organized a Conference on September 13th and 14th, 2018 on the “Implications of the Economic and Technological Developments on Trade, Labour and Social Security Laws”.
