CONTEMPORARY ISSUES OF EU ECONOMIC POLICY

The module is devoted to the contemporary economic position of the European Union as both integrated entity and community of independent countries. Different aspects of EU common policy in various economic areas are analyzed. Principal attention is paid to the implications of the global economic/financial crisis of 2008-2010  for the EU.

External Dimension of the EU Performance

The module deals with relations between the EU and its external environment. The focus is on the EU positioning in the modern world, key trends of the contemporary integration process from the point of view of international trade, investments, financial markets development and labor forces migration as well as on the recommendation of using the best EU practice for other countries and regions of the World.

La Zone de libre-échange continentale africaine (ZLECAf), en cours de mise en place, est le premier accord multilatéral régional au monde en termes de nombre de pays et d'habitants. En parallèle, les dynamiques du multilatéralisme en Afrique sont multiples. Ainsi, certaines communautés économiques régionales (CEDEAO, COMESA) s'élargissent à de nouveaux partenaires, tandis que l'UMA est en situation de blocage.

Brasil a caminho da OCDE: explorando desafios

No dia 29 maio de 2017, o Brasil formalizou pedido de abertura de processo de acessão à Organização para a Cooperação e Desenvolvimento Econômico – OCDE (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development - OECD). Quando o pedido de acessão for aceito pelo Conselho da OCDE, a fase seguinte será a negociação dos termos dessa acessão, processo estimado em 3 a 4 anos, até que o país deposite o seu termo de ratificação. O Brasil, portanto, tem um longo caminho a percorrer.
