Bien que la mondialisation ait stimulé la croissance économique mondiale, elle n’a pas toujours été synonyme de progrès social. Un décalage persiste entre performance économique et inclusion. Le commerce international a été un levier majeur de la croissance mondiale, notamment à travers l’expansion des chaînes de valeur mondiales.

Has the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) negotiations impacted on tourism flows of member countries?

Purpose – Using panel data for the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) member states, the present study explored the role of RCEP negotiations on tourism development.
Design/methodology/approach –Adynamic econometric model, namely the panel autoregressive dynamic lag model (PARDL) has been used. To test for panel causality, Dumitrescu–Hurlin panel causality tests were used.

Capacity Building Session on Trade and Gender for Government Officials of MERCOSUR Countries

The program is structured over four sessions of two hours duration. It is aimed to senior to mid-level government officials from Brazilian government; partners of the National Program for Export Culture (PNCE) which includes Brazilian subnational entities and public and private bodies; and representatives from Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Gender Mainstreaming in Preferential Trade Agreements: An examination of the Evolution of gender Dynamics in International Trade

Preferential Trade Agreements (PTAs) have evolved from being primarily concerned with trade issues to addressing non-trade issues. Apart from focusing on issues like trade in goods, services, and intellectual property-related issues, modern PTAs, especially north-south PTAs, also focus on non-trade issues like labour, environment, gender, and anti-corruption. Earlier, gender issues were generally addressed as part of other chapters. Now, PTAs contain a standalone chapter that solely focuses on gender issues.

O objetivo deste texto é examinar, sob a perspectiva do comércio internacional, as características gerais de funcionamento da regulamentação técnica, da normalização técnica e dos procedimentos de avaliação de conformidade (infraestrutura de qualidade) adotados por Chile, México e Colômbia. Em seguida, buscar identificar, sob uma perspectiva que relaciona o comércio à infraestrutura da qualidade, semelhanças e diferenças entre esses três países e os dois principais membros do Mercosul, Brasil e Argentina.
