Short Training Course: STATA and Gravity Modeling

A one week training course was offered to the graduate students at the Department of Natural Resource Economics, Sultan Qaboos University on the Application of STATA to analyze trade data and gravity modeling from April 30th to May 4th, 2017. Two academicians from the Department of Agricultural Economics, University of Paredinya, Sri lanka participated in delivering the course. The course combined lecture, computer application, readings and students’ presentations on selected gravity models research papers. Twelve students attended the course and benefited from the well-received interactive learning experience.
