China - 29 September 2013
29 September, 2013, the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Shanghai FTZ) was officially launched, soon after the State Council of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the State Council) released the Framework Plan for the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone. The Shanghai FTZ enjoys unprecedentedly favorable economic and trade opening-up policies, making it a milestone in the new round of China's reform and opening-up. Taking such a major move fully exhibits China's resolution to filling its commitment to the WTO,especially the forthcoming adoption of the Trade Facilitation Agreement and pushing forward the transformation of the new global economic and trade governance.
