Presentation on Trade and Gender, The Concept Design of 21 Century Trade Agreements Workshop World Trade Institute, Geneva, Switzerland

A two-day workshop titled “The Concept Design of 21 Century Trade Agreements” Workshop was organised by the World Trade Institute (WTI) in collaboration with the British Embassy. During the event international experts and academics discussed the existing design of preferential trade agreements (PTAs) for a variety of issue areas found in modern treaties and spearheaded future design options for addressing upcoming challenges on trade agreements. Dr. Amrita Bahri's (Co-Chair Professor, WTO Chairs Programme (Mexico) intervention was related to the topic of trade and gender equality, which focussed on proposing a new design for the negotiation of women-centric provisions in the 21st century trade agreements.
