High trade costs act as a barrier to the integration of developing countries into the global economy. This is especially true for LDCs, landlocked developing countries and geographically remote, small economies.
The book “Trade Costs and Inclusive Growth” looks at how the Aid for Trade initiative can assist with implementing the Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA), the importance of mainstreaming trade into national development strategies, and the potential impact of the TFA in various regions. The publication brings together contributions from ten participants in the WTO Chairs Programme, which supports trade-related activities by academic institutions in developing countries.
