The largest foreign trade meeting in Brazil
Professor Vera participated in the panel titled "Panel 9: Geopolitical Transformations, the New Economy, and the New International Order, and Their Impacts on Brazil and Its Foreign Trade" ("PAINEL 9: AS TRANSFORMAÇÕES GEOPOLÍTICAS, COM A NOVA ECONOMIA E A NOVA ORDEM INTERNACIONAL, E SEUS IMPACTOS SOBRE O BRASIL E SEU COMÉRCIO EXTERIOR"). This panel was delivered in Portuguese. The panel was part of the ENAEX (National Meeting of Foreign Trade), which has been held annually since 1972 and is the largest forum for discussion on foreign trade in Brazil. The event offers an important space for the exchange of concrete proposals and interaction between the business community and government authorities, with the aim of promoting policies and actions that support Brazil’s competitive and sustainable integration into the global market. ENAEX brings together various stakeholders involved in Brazilian foreign trade to discuss strategies for its strengthening, analyzing and debating challenges such as logistics, the tax system, bureaucracy, market access, and financial costs, while proposing concrete solutions to enhance the competitiveness of Brazilian products and services. Its audience includes business leaders, representatives of trade associations, federal government authorities — including the President and Vice President of the Republic — exporters and importers of goods and services, professionals from across the foreign trade sector, and university students.
