This course centers on the rules governing trade in goods within the World Trade Organization, covering five main areas: the non-discrimination principle in goods trade rules, the market access principle, the trade remedies system, the coordination of national trade rules, and the exceptions to free trade. Specific learning content includes the 13 existing agreements in Annex 1A of the WTO Agreement, as well as new content on trade rules under negotiation within the WTO and other regional trade agreements. Emphasis is placed on cultivating students' legal English proficiency, information retrieval abilities, and case interpretation skills, with a focus on enhancing their problem analysis and problem-solving capabilities. This course requires students not only to master trade knowledge but also to understand the fundamental logic of legal aspects.
