WTO CHAIR IN VIETNAM - FOREIGN TRADE UNIVERSITY

The Advanced Course on Research Methods in International Trade is designed to enhance participants' ability to apply theoretical knowledge to scientific research. The course is structured into two main components: classroom instruction and personalized mentoring. Participants form research groups, develop project ideas, and work closely with assigned mentors to produce a research proposal and a research poster, which are presented at the final session for expert feedback.
The mentoring phase encourages independent collaboration between groups and mentors, with at least two working sessions required before the course concludes. The course also includes a series of online lectures covering key topics such as research design, modeling, and trade data analysis, delivered by experienced academics and researchers. The program culminates in an offline session for final presentations and a closing ceremony.
This course fosters practical research skills, critical thinking, and collaborative learning, preparing participants to engage in high-quality academic research in the field of international trade.
