Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the WTO paid a visit to UIBE

On December 8, 2024, WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala visited the WTO Chair at UIBE. During her visit, she viewed the research publications, met with the faculty and students and had discussions on achievements in trade research, digital trade, and global value chains. UIBE faculty and students exchanged insights with her on multilateral trade, AI's role in global commerce, and developing economies' WTO participation. Okonjo-Iweala praised UIBE's contributions and encouraged students to advance their skills for sustainable trade systems. Her visit highlighted UIBE's influence in international trade studies.
