The WTO Chairs Programme (WCP) Annual Conference 2023 is taking place from 21 to 23 June 2023 at the WTO Secretariat in Geneva.

Chairholders are meeting for a number of thematic sessions focusing on the implementation of MC12 results and the road ahead to MC13. The programme includes panel discussions organized jointly with various Divisions of the WTO Secretariat, a book presentation, as well as an exchange with Director-General Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

This year's edition builds on the previous year's conference and will focus on investment facilitation for development, digital trade, and the climate-trade nexus. These sessions are organized jointly with the specialized divisions at the WTO Secretariat dealing with these areas as well as with Chairs of Committees at the WTO, co-coordinators, facilitators, and co-convenors of the relevant discussions which are taking place. A joint session with the Enhanced Integrated Framework on LDCs and the multilateral trading system will be held. A panel is also organized in collaboration with the Advisory Centre for WTO Law.

The Secretariat is also pleased to welcome the WCP Academic Advisory Board Members to the conference, who will be moderating the discussions and providing guidance to the Chairs on their work programmes for 2023 and their progress on these projects thus far.
