Capacity Building Workshop on Python and Machine Learning for Economics and Finance

The Centre of Excellence in International Trade and Finance (CEITI), in collaboration with the WTO chair engaged in a comprehensive research method capacity building workshop on 'Python and Machine Learning for Economics and Finance'.  AI and Python are increasingly popular as a tool in International Economics and Finance and moreover is linked to few popular econometric  softwares. The Duration of the course spanned of 7 sessions of 3 hours each (Total 21 hours) and the Learning Outcomes are as follows:

·        Write basic Python scripts

·        Analyze social sciences datasets, including those pertaining to tourism, economics, and finance.

·        Create visualizations to illustrate trends

·        Build and interpret basic machine learning models

·        Assess AI outputs in policy and managerial contexts
