Academic Run Up to the M11 Project

The Project was elaborated and implemented by the WTO Chair at Buenos Aires with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. With a view towards the WTO Ministerial Conference hold in Buenos Aires in December 2017, the WTO Chair proposed in March 2017 to organize at least two meetings gathering trade academics from the region. The main idea was to generate a space of exchange of ideas and debate on occasion of the MC11. The final objective, to produce a piece containing short reflections of Latin American trade scholars around the present and future of trade. As a result of this project, the piece “Ni si ni no ni blanco ni negro. Reflexiones Latinoamericanas en torno a la Conferencia Ministerial de la OMC” was produced and published.
