Foreign Trade University (FTU) recently hosted a successful workshop titled "Access to Finance, Including Trade Finance", bringing together experts, academics, and stakeholders to discuss the evolving landscape of financial accessibility in international trade.
Held both in-person at FTU’s Hanoi campus and online, the event featured insightful contributions from representatives of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The workshop opened with welcoming and introductory remarks, followed by the presentation of a joint WTO/IFC report that highlighted key challenges and opportunities in trade finance.
A dynamic roundtable discussion allowed participants to exchange perspectives and explore practical solutions to improve access to finance, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, fostering further dialogue among attendees.
This event reaffirmed FTU’s commitment to advancing academic and policy discussions on global trade and finance, and to supporting inclusive financial systems that empower businesses worldwide.
