The Asian Center for WTO & International Health Law and Policy (ACWH) at National Taiwan University (NTU) co-hosted the Ninth Biennial Global Conference of the Society of International Economic Law (SIEL) at NTU from July 9 to 11, 2025.
The workshop took place on September 4-5, 2023, at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. It comprised several panels on the position of forests within international law, including topics such as forests and trade, deforestation and trade, among others.
Este curso tiene como punto de partida el concepto de régimen en el derecho internacional para explorar la relación entre medio ambiente y economía, y como esta es mediada por el derecho que cumple una función constitutiva de las relaciones sociales y entre naturaleza y sociedad. Para ello, debe tenerse en cuenta que, por un lado, se ha gestado en el plano internacional un marco normativo e institucional para el manejo de los problemas relacionados con la actual crisis climática.
La globalización contemporánea ha tenido como trasfondo un contexto sociopolítico y económico moldeado por procesos tales como la liberalización del comercio, el movimiento transfronterizo de capitales, la financiarización y digitalización de la economía, el auge de la migración económica, y la estructuración de las relaciones de producción en torno a cadenas globales de valor.
