The objective of the consultative meeting was to raise awareness of key stakeholders on the expiry of the Kenya-France and Kenya-Switzerland bilateral investment treaties and the need to review the investment agreements. To identify the discuss areas for consideration in notifying the French and Swiss governments on Kenya's intent to renegotiate the investment treaties, and to garner stakeholders’ positions on the renegotiation of the Kenya-France and Kenya-Switzerland BITs for a prodevelopment country position.
