International Women’s Day Award Presentation & Roundtable Webinar Invitation

In celebration of International Women's Day, the SRC hosted its 5th Annual Distinguished Woman in Trade Award Presentation and Roundtable Webinar on March 6, 2026. Ms. Andrea Ewart, Esq. was honoured with the 5th SRC Distinguished Woman in Trade Award, followed by a dynamic roundtable on "Export/Trade Finance Solutions for Women-led SMEs."

Panelists from leading regional institutions spotlighted key barriers facing women entrepreneurs, including awareness gaps around available financing, poor record keeping, and limited engagement with grant programmes. The discussion also noted that while women-led businesses in Barbados are growing, export activity remains predominantly driven by male-owned enterprises in the industrial sector — underscoring the work still ahead in closing the gender trade gap.
