International Trade Policy course
The International Trade Policy course (TMAE301) is a foundational subject offered by the School of Economics and International Business at Foreign Trade University. It introduces students to the core principles, theories, and tools used to analyze international trade and trade policy. The course covers both classical and modern trade theories, as well as the instruments and strategies governments use to manage imports and exports.
Through comparative analysis of trade policies across countries—including Vietnam—students gain insights into how national policies align with international trade regulations and commitments. The course also emphasizes the development of essential skills such as research, critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, and effective communication. By the end of the course, students are expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of trade policy frameworks and uphold professional ethics in both domestic and international trade contexts.
