Colombia and the WTO, discussions on the effects of international trade regulation on public policies

This event was attended by members of the Universidad del Rosario academic community, especially students from undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Civil society representatives and scholars from other universities in Bogotá also attended the event.
The general objective of this event was to promote a better understanding of the central aspects of international trade regulation affecting the design and formulation of public policies affecting the right to health, digital privacy rights, and food security. The first panel concerned nutrition labeling and WTO law, the second focused on data transfer regulation in the digital economy, the third focused on pharmaceutical policy and the TRIPS agreement, and the last one focused on access and benefit sharing concerning seeds.
