This paper selects manufacturing listed companies on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges from 2011 to 2019 as research samples, matches relevant data from the IFR Database, the CSMAR Database, and the Wind Database, and investigates the impact of AI on the export performance of manufacturing enterprises. Through theoretical analysis, hypotheses regarding the mechanisms of influence are proposed. The study employs a fixed-effects model for benchmark regression and addresses endogeneity issues and robustness tests. It concludes that AI can enhance the export performance of manufacturing enterprises. Subsequently, the paper conducts heterogeneity analysis from three perspectives: geographical location, enterprise ownership, and government policy, to explore differentiated impacts. Mechanism tests suggest that AI affects enterprise export performance by improving total factor productivity and innovation capacity. Finally, the paper proposes corresponding policy recommendations at both the national and enterprise levels.
