Updated course: Research Methodology

South Africa - 21 November 2017

The original course outline and outcomes have been extended with assistance from WTO experts who provided STATA training and other inputs.

The current Research Methodology Course sets out to equip the Economics and International Trade fourth year (Honours) students with the research skills needed to complete their mini-dissertations. The course also gives them the necessary analytical tools to determine the drivers of exports, the market attractiveness of possible export destinations, the country’s export competitiveness and the impact of policy changes on trade. Following an updating process, the course now also includes a more advanced research methodology which involves STATA-based policy analysis.
