WCP Highlights

The WTO members concerned are the Dominican Republic, Nigeria, Qatar, Togo and Vanuatu. Aiming to improve diversity and inclusivity in the programme, and foster further research on trade issues in developing and least-developed WTO members and observers.

The funds will be financing WTO TA programmes aimed at helping government officials from developing economies and least-developed countries (LDCs) better understand and implement more effectively global trade rules and standards.

The conference theme is International Trade Challenges in Africa and WTO Reform: The Way Forward. Submissions are welcomed until 30 September, 2024.

will take place on 16th – 18th December 2024 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Open University of Sri Lanka and the Centre for Trade and Investment Law. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 31st August.

Members of the Chairs Programme from across the world are taking part in the conference in Geneva to strengthen their collaborative work on maximizing the potential of trade to reduce inequalities in developing economies.

The first edition of the WTO Model Ecuador will take place from October 16 to 19, 2024, at the University and will feature the simulation of seven WTO instances.
