Qing Ye

Qing YE is an Economic Affairs Officer at the Academic Outreach and WTO Chairs Program (WCP) Section of the Knowledge Management Division (KMD) in the World Trade Organization (WTO). Since joining the WCP in 2017, she has been responsible for the implementation of research and acedemic outreach activities, WCP e-Platform as well as the monitoring and evaluation of the programme. She has over 9 years of working experience in the field of trade and development with the core expertise on trade and economic analysis, statistical data analysis and management of digitization projects.  Before joining the KMD, she has worked in the Economic Research and Statistics Division in the WTO, Market Development Division in the International Trade Centre as well as Grant Management Division in the Global Fund. Her research interests and activities cover digital economy, E-commerce, MSMEs, Global Value Chain and NTMs. She is one of the authors of World Trade Report, Global Value Chain Report and WCP Chairs Book.  She also represented the WTO as a delegate in the Youth20 Summit.She holds a MSc in Empirical and Theoretical Economics from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Paris School of Economics in France, a BSc in Economics from the Southwest University of Science and Technology in China and Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences in Germany.
