WTO CHAIR IN VIETNAM - FOREIGN TRADE UNIVERSITY

The course Dispute Settlement on Non-Trade Issues in International Trade is a core component of the Doctoral Program in Economic Law at Foreign Trade University. It provides doctoral candidates with in-depth knowledge and research methodologies to analyze and resolve disputes that arise in international trade but extend beyond purely commercial matters. These include issues related to public health, environmental protection, labor standards, and human rights within the context of global and regional trade frameworks.
Through a combination of theoretical instruction and applied research, the course enables students to evaluate dispute resolution mechanisms under the World Trade Organization (WTO) and regional economic integration systems. Participants will develop advanced skills in legal research, critical analysis, and academic communication, while also cultivating autonomy, academic integrity, and creativity in addressing complex non-trade issues in international trade law.
