Webinar on Gender and Trade in the Americas

The WTO Chairs from ITAM, México; University of the West Indies, Barbados and University of Chile, Chile, jointly presented a project with the objective of building understanding and capacity of mainstreaming gender equality considerations in trade policy context. In this project they will organise a policy seminar series, a book launch events for launch and promotion of the research output.
The seminar series will consist of six online roundtables, one each month, that will address the main topics regarding trade and gender issues. These seminars will feature academics, policymakers, trade negotiators, and experts from international organizations such as WTO. The last webinar will intend to wrap up the previous activities and draw policy recommendations.
The next Seminar will be the 4th of October, regard COVID-19 impact on women’s economic autonomy in LAC, with Alicia Frohmann – ECLAC consultant and Patricia Roa – ILO.
